Amusing Challenges

Wow!  This week it was a challenge to get my act together and post in time!  I’ve just spent the last week in beautiful Lake Tahoe but the trip back was our usual, unbelievable bad luck starting with a cancelled flight and ending up in huge delays and landing in a different airport than we started…none the less, I’ve had a nap and am ready to get busy!  I hope your week will be a good one!!

Each Sunday I’ll be having a different type challenge – but over a month you will see: “use it”, theme, color or a sketch challenge.  This week is a theme week and since Juliet is on a “Christmas in July” kick, let’s make something for the holidays.  By the way, July’s random prize winner will receive the swallows die set from a•muse studio from me…I love our dies and so will you!

I used my CAS Thursday post from two weeks ago as a starting point for this week’s Christmas card.  Instead of popping a die cut over the woodgrain background, I stamped and colored the little santa from the Holiday Tags set with Copics.  Then I cut him out and popped him up with some dimensionals.  I really like the added touch of the Candy Cane paper and Cherry ribbon, also from a•muse studio to finish it off.

Juliet went with some non traditional colors for her fun Christmas card using Nordic Noel also from a•muse studio.  {Speaking of holidays…the Holiday Hoopla (a•muse studio’s latest catalog!) goes live on 1 August and if you get my newsletters, you’ll find it as a PDF in your inbox later today!  🙂  I also have hard copies arriving and am taking orders for those now…}

It’s super easy to play along with Amusing Challenges:

 ■Link your creation to your blog, gallery (SCS or Flicker, to name a few) before midnight of the following Sunday.
■Use any product but please follow the challenge criteria.
■Double your chances to win by using a•muse studio products (just link in twice please)
■Please tell your friends about my challenge – I’ll be sure to visit each entry by the following Monday!
