Amusing Challenges – all about “you”

Thank you…miss you…love you…this week’s Amusing Challenge is to make a card or project that features the word “you“!  Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.  I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing…this month’s prize package is a small pack of 3.5 in doilies from a•muse studio.

Juliet did a fun paper piecing card featuring the stamp set, Marvelous Marigolds from a•muse studio.  She’s stubborn like I am and kept working this card until it was more to her liking – great job!  I love those embossed leaves…

Cyndi’s card isn’t photographed at the best angle but I hope you can see the details in her Rock Star card.  I think it’s a neat twist for her to use purple with this masculine card.  This set is great for scrapbooking stamping because of the neat elements in it – there is a “girl” version too!  {I have them both!} 🙂

I tried using a doily as a mask on my card and love the results!  I saw this on the a•muse studio consultant challenge gallery and had to try it myself.  It was so easy – I just laid down my doily and then spritzed the entire card with Winter Sky Splash!  Once it was dry I stamped it with my Wild Rose stamp set and layered a few extra roses for dimension.  This is just one of the stamp sets a•muse studio is retiring and so you can get it for 30% off until Feb 28 – or while supplies last…just click my sidebar if you want to see more of these farewell items.
