When we were growing up, we always had to send out a thank you note…in fact, my mom still sends thank you notes for being invited somewhere to dinner. I suppose things always change over time but perhaps they shouldn’t! Here are two note cards I was able to whip up pretty quickly using A Muse Studio’s Thank You Mix rubber stamp set and the crisp black ink, Versafine Onyx Black.
The hard part was choosing the inks I wanted to use – I have two variations here. I love the way A Muse Studio inks are slightly opaque but they still layer beautifully so you get a hint of the other color underneath. I masked a one inch section with some thin paper and then began to stamp using an assortment of stamp images: Beautiful Botanicals 1 and 2, Marvelous Marigolds and Modern Zinnia (all stamps are from A Muse Studio). In the end I felt like my white space was a little too large and so I scored some lines with my Scor Pal for interest and to break it up a little.
My cards are inspired by some I’ve seen on Pinterest and I hope you will join this week’s Amusing Challenge for that same theme. We only have a few players this week and I’d love to see your ideas!
Have you begun working on Valentine treats and cards? I’m planning a card class for Jan 29 – so stay tuned if you live in the area or join my Meet Up group so you never miss a thing. Even if you can’t come, A Muse Studio is having a Sweet Sale on all the things you need to make for Valentine’s Day – it’s 25% on a whole lot of “sweet” things!
