Amusing Challenge – Doily

Welcome to a new  Amusing Challenge … this week’ is a “use it” theme and your challenge is to use a doily.  I love doilies, how about you?!  Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner.   Tomorrow January’s winner will be announced and they will receive this stamp set, All My Heart from A Muse Studio.

Juliet made such a vintage Valentine this week.  There are a lot of great details in this card and I love how she used just part of the sentiment in the All for Love set from A Muse Studio.  That bird image is one of my favorite from A Muse Studio and I really like it stamped on kraft.  I just noticed now those roses stamped in watermark ink.  She used quite a few of the images from All for Love!  And look at those fun corners – I have a zillion of those corner punches sitting in a box somewhere…time to pull them out again!  These doilies from A Muse Studio are a great size – the smaller ones measure 3 1/2 inches which are perfect for cardmaking!

Cyndi went with a very traditional look for her Valentine…I love all the red here grounded with that pop of black!  If you click on the card you will see it larger and can see how she used the Petite Pinstripe Cherry cardstock from A Muse Studio.  Her sentiment is embossed in white and is from the set, Love is in the Air.  The Silky Crush ribbon is also from A Muse Studio and is one of my favorites…it’s very luxurious.  The red twinkle stickers and pearls are also from A Muse Studio but the heart shaped doily is not.

My card today is a knock-off of my upline, Angi’s card.  I had to change it slightly though because I don’t have the A Muse Studio Mad for Plaid set so I used their Cherry Petite Pinstripe, Cherry and Slate cardstock.

The main stamp set I used was Ahhnouncing and the little red “i love you” is from Just My Type – both sets are from A Muse Studio.  I used Copic markers for coloring and the Petite Scallop Circle and Standard Circle Nestabilities die.  My doily is also the small size that A Muse Studio carries.
