Here is another watercolored, one layer card for the challenge over at One-Layer Simplicity.  I love the way this one turned out – and I think the black copic multi-liner pen added just the right amount of extra detail.

This stamp set is called Squeeze the Day from A Muse Studio.  I colored directly to my solid stamps with Tombow markers and then lightly misted across the inked image before stamping.  The lighter lemon wedge is just a second generation of the first darker one.

So I promised you the good, the bad and the ugly!

This was my first attempt with the A Muse Studio Squeeze the Day set and it just got a little too busy!  I do like the “idea” behind the card and may try and remake it but with a few (okay, a lot!) less fruits.  🙂  To try and “fix” it – I added Diamond Glitter from A Muse Studio to the orange slices – to link that to the sentiment.  Well, that was my idea!

Not sure if this qualifies as “bad” or “ugly”…sigh.

  1. I don’t think that is an ugly card at all! I think they are both great. I love the sentiments and the bright colors. Thanks for playing with us at ATSM. 🙂

  2. I am in love with your lemon card, Chris! You so deserved the recognition your received from OLS for this!! And I like your second one, too, because there are lots of people who really adore a busier, bolder, and brighter card! There’s something for everybody!! Hugs, Darnell

  3. Wow, two One-Layer Card recognitions for March Christina! Way to go girl.
