This is the birthday card I made for my daughter, Stephanie, when she turned 18 on Easter Sunday! wow…not sure where the time has flown. It was bascially a quick card to make – once I selected my Copic markers that is! I used the stamp set, Hey Cupcake from A Muse Studio. The banner background is from the new paper pack, Everything’s Rosy in the new A Muse Studio Spring Accessories guide. It’s a great assortment and I’ve been making cards like crazy with it. From a left over scrap, I hand cut the mini banner and draped it over the cupcake to make it even more festive. The DP is matted with a piece of Sky cardstock from A Muse Studio and matches the little flecks of blue in the paper perfectly.
The pink frosting went through a few transformations and took the longest. It ended up a more purplish-pink to match the banner and then below you can see how I first added Diamond Glitter just on the top, didn’t like that, and then added Crystal Glaze (both are from A Muse Studio). I love the end results.
I finished off the inside of the card with just a little more stamping using a sentiment from the Hey Cupcake stamp set. The number 18 is from the A Muse Studio stamp set, Big Celebrations. It really is big and fun for birthday cards!
This card is for my Design Team gig over at Ecclectic Ellapu and I’m also entering it in:
