amuse studio rubber stamps

Finally had a moment to play with the latest challenge over at One-Layer Simplicity Challenge – the theme is travel.  With a paint brush, I painted on swatches of color from my bottles of Splash.  I love this stuff and A Muse Studio carries it (there are now over 15 colors and the price in the Spring Accessories Guide is lower than the base catalog so there is no reason not to try it)!!  Once the card was nice and dry, I stamped my four images and sentiment from the A Muse Studio stamp set, Let’s Be Adventurers.  My card is an unusual size:  3 1/2 x 5 inches.

This is my favorite black ink for a crisp, clear image – Versafine Onyx Black.  Note to self:  Let ink really dry before you start manhandling the card – good thing I recently picked up a Prismacolor Magic Rub eraser for kids’ homework, this did the trick in removing smudged ink.  Phew!

Other challenges for my card:

Addicted to CAS – Far Away
Less is More – Makes me smile: because I love the way my painted squares turned out…lots of possibilities!  And who doesn’t like/want to travel?!
