Yikes! Half way through May already. This week the focus is on flowers at Amusing Challenges! Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner. May’s winner will receive this A Muse Studio stamp set, Hero Mail. It’s perfect if you are a military family (like myself), participate in Operation Write Home or think of the possiblities for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July…It’s retired now so you won’t be able to get it anywhere else!
Cyndi is always thinking out of the box and I find her cards always delight me in their details. Here she used the brand new flower die set from the A Muse Studio Spring Accessories Guide. With a little snipping, she turned some of the flowers into butterflies! The cardstock is from A Muse Studio and so are these cloud dies, although they are retired. The sentiment is from Essential Sentiments which is retiring (there are a lot of great A Muse Studio stamp sets retiring and they are on a Progressive Sale format) and A Muse Studio has marked it at 35% off! Lots of stickles and gems add the finishing touches here.
I created this card for my Birthday card workshop that is coming up this week. This grey crepe paper is from the A Muse Studio Accessories Guide and I bought it thinking it would look lovely paired with pink. 🙂 I inked the rose from A Muse Studio’s Springtime Day with grapefruit and grass inks and stamped it on Sugar cardstock. I hand cut the rose and then just layered it over a Nestabilities circle die cut. I covered the backside edge of the circle with tape and then ruffle and pleated the crepe paper until it looked pretty even. The Seattle Chevron cardstock, Grapefruit and Grass cardstocks are also from A Muse Studio. The sentiment is NEW and you’ll be seeing more of that as I begin sharing some sneak peeks from the 2014 A Muse Studio catalog (coming out 1 July).
PS. I hope you will still enter the current Amusing Challenge, it’s a “distress” challenge so there’s no reason not to join us!
