Amusing Challenge – Mothers

All of us had one…some of us are one…this week at Amusing Challenges we are celebrating Mothers!  Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner.  April’s winner will be announced tomorrow and they will receive this A Muse Studio stamp set, Cup of Wishes.  It’s got a great quote and I think it goes perfectly with the tea recipes that I shared with my newsletter readers this month. {You can sign up in the upper left corner for them if you don’t get them already!}

Juliet didn’t have any Mother’s Day sentiments (that’s why she’s coming to my card class on Tuesday!) but the feeling comes across in these bunny die cuts from A Muse Studio!  She also used the new 6×6 paper pack from A Muse Studio called Everything’s Rosy.  And, I love the small bow die she used from A Muse Studio for this pink bow and the Pistashio cardstock goes perfectly with everything.

Cyndi sent me her card from Kitty Hawk, NC while she was on vacation – that’s design team dedication!! She used the stamp set, Aren’t You Sweet from A Muse Studio and she also used some of the papers from Everything’s Rosy.  Cyndi also used the new flower die set from the A Muse Studio Spring Accessories Guide that I finally got my hands on too!  Can’t wait to play with it and I love this flower border she created.  The Petite Pinstripe cardstock is also from A Muse Studio.

Once again my card began as a case of some wonderful creation I found.  Last year Marisa Alveraz made a beautiful Mother’s Day card that really inspired me.  I have a few minor tweaks (I added some Washi tape from the A Muse Studio Valentine collection) and cut my swallows from actual music books that I practiced from as a child.  🙂  pst!  Those swallow dies are retiring and are on sale now for 25% off!

The main image is from Seasonal Branch from A Muse Studio and I stamped the different parts using Bubblegum, Lichen and French Roast inks from them as well.  The cardstock is also from A Muse Studio and is Cocoa, Lichen and Blush.  Did you know A Muse Studio carries nestabilities?  We do!  This is the Oval and Scalloped Oval shapes from them.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on Vanilla cardstock and handcut the edge…the sentiment is from the set, Essential Sentiments, which I am sad to say is also retiring and currently on sale.  The final details are the blush button and vanilla twine – both are from A Muse Studio.
