Amusing Challenge – Anything Goes

Ah…can it already be the last weekend in June?  That means it’s an anything goes Amusing Challenge!   Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.   I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner.  UPDATED:  June’s winner will receive this from me…a brand new small stocking die (originally I had posted that it would be the web die but these are all SOLD OUT!)

My design team is on a short break – and although they deserve it, I know you will miss their creations.

For this card I used the brand new A Muse Studio set called Beautiful Birthdays.  I think a lot of folks will really like the font of the sentiments and I have been having some fun playing around with the flowers.  They are super for watercoloring and I used watercolor crayons here.  The idea of stacking the flowers came from another demo, Patricia, and it is oh so wonderful!  I’ve been practicing with some other color combinations and using inks as well.  The last step was to add a butterfly that I die cut from some sheet music and A Muse Studio cardstock vellum.  A Muse Studio has a butterfly trio die set that will remain in the new catalog although a LOT of their dies are retiring and are on sale for 55% off.

This is just one of the wonderful new stamp sets that will be released in the A Muse Studio Inspiration Guide that goes live on 1 July…and speaking of watercolors, we are going to start carrying something new in that catagory!! {Sorry for all the teases!  If you get my newsletters, you’ve already received a digital copy to see…one more benefit of signing up for my mailing list!}

Here’s a card that I did for a Splitcoaststampers challenge this week and it would be perfect for this week’s texture challenge as well (I hope you will join in!).  I inked up some bubblewrap with Bermuda ink from A Muse Studio and just pressed down on some sugar cardstock.  I stamped three shells from Sea Shells, also from A Muse Studio, and colored them in with Copic markers.  Once I layered the panel on A Muse Studio cardstock — Bermuda  and Kraft — I decided to add some chunky glitter to one of the shells.  Fun, right?!?

Here’s a close up of the glitter!
