Last week I discovered a tutorial over on SCS called “etching”. The idea is to add flicks/lines to an image … or you can add dots. Here I took the Floral Duet stamp set from A Muse Studio and added my “etchings” to it. No big deal, you think, but it was scary at first! Here’s what the stamp set normally looks like:
I stamped the thank you sentiment from Fall in the Forest, also an amuse studio stamp set. The embossing plate, sheer ribbon, silver ribbon and black stickles are supplies I had at home. My guest designer this month, Karen McAlpine, used Floral Duet beautifully here, in case you missed it!
Other big news! Tomorrow my 12 Days of Halloween tutorial series kicks off! You can expect some fantastic ideas hitting your mailbox – FREE! – on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday for 4 weeks straight. If you haven’t signed up yet, don’t miss out!
Send me your 12 Days of Halloween tutorial series!
and now on to our Amusing Challenge winners from last week…it was all about Fall Foliage. I thought it might be too early in the season for such a challenge but the leaves outside my window are changing and the dogwoods are already dropping their leaves.
