Amusing Challenge – anything goes!

It’s an Anything Goes Amusing Challenge this week and I hope you will join us!  Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner.  October’s Grand Prize winner will receive a package of medium Polka Dot Bags in their choice of color.

amuse studio Cyndi is getting into the Halloween holiday spirit with this retired stamp set, Harvest Moon, from A Muse Studio.  In case you missed it, it was one of the World Cardmaking Day stamp specials they ran for just $5 each.  It was a great chance to pick up some sets at a discounted price.  If you missed it, no worries – coming 1 November A Muse Studio will be running a new (and even better!) special and if you are signed up for my newsletter you’ll have some advanced notice!  Cyndi also used some amuse studio lime sequins and these Googly eyes were in our catalog last year.  It’s such a fun card.

I fell in love with the Not a Creature was Stirring stamp set in A Muse Studio’s new Holiday catalog [you can view it in my right sidebar if you don’t have a copy but I just ordered 10 more catalogs and have them on hand.  They are just $4 each and that includes shipping] and couldn’t wait to start playing with it.  The funny thing is, this little bear was my least favorite of the four critters but it’s the first one I’ve really used!  I colored in my bear with some Copic markers after stamping it in Memento Black ink.  This card would be great for Valentine’s Day or, really anytime you need to let someone know you are thinking of them! I used the heart print cardstock from  A Muse Studio as well as some Kraft, Sugar and Onyx cardstock from them as well.  I also used the Heart Trio die set and some Cherry felt which made a reappearance in the A Muse Studio Holiday catalog.

Do you like to make homemade gifts for Christmas?  I do!  The Inspiration Challenge this weekend over at Splitcoaststampers got me thinking in earnest about making sets of notecards…I used Enjoy the Ride and Mini Blooms from A Muse Studio to make this clean and simple (CAS) card.  I used Margarita, Marigold and Violetta inks (these are from amuse studio’s new Fiesta color line) on the flowers and I love the pop of color it gives this otherwise, graphic looking card.  I can’t wait to keep playing with these two stamp sets and come up with a whole set of cards!  Isn’t that sentiment up on the top perfect?!?  Love it!

  1. Chris, how clever you are to make a winter holiday set into a card that is perfect for Valentine’s day. I call Jay “Bear,” so this will be CASEd in February.
