Another month has rolled by and we’re entering November! At Amusing Challenge this week I hope you will join us with our Give Thanks or Thanksgiving type theme! Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner. October’s Grand Prize winner will be announced tomorrow and they will receive a package of medium A Muse Studio Polka Dot Bags in their choice of color.
Cyndi blew me away with her Thanksiving card. She used the newly retired stamp set, Holiday Hoopla stamp set from A Muse Studio. She sponged on liquid pearls for the background snow and did some second generation stamping to make her deers look like they were in the background. I love her fall leaves in orange, purple and sage. The twine and bauble finish on the side is true to Cyndi’s eye for details! Cyndi used the sentiment from the retired Essential Sentiments set, also from A Muse Studio.
I love the colors of fall and I think this card captures some of that beauty. I used the A Muse Studio set, Thankful for You and stamped off my leaves in pumpkin ink on Vanilla cardstock – both are from amuse studio. This is really a quick card if you need to send out several at Thanksgiving. I also stamped the retired Script Background in Cocoa ink and lightly inked my edges using a sponge with that same color. I did a little distressing after that to the main panel. I stamped my sentiment on a piece of vellum that I had pretorn – it wraps around the backside of the Vanilla panel on each side to secure it. To finish it off, I added three orange sequins (amuse studio carries these and other colors) and then mounted my panel of a piece of nutmeg cardstock from A Muse Studio.
PS. I hope you will still enter the current Amusing Challenge. The challenge is Anything Goes and I’m excited to see some players… I’d love to see your entry as well!
