So glad to have you stopping by and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas holiday. My family was lucky enough to go visit my folks and enjoyed having my sister and her family come for a day’s visit too! As always, the time passes too quickly but I am eager to get back to some crafting!
This week’s Amusing Challenge is Anything Goes! Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner. December’s Prize Winner will receive a package of heart shaped doilies – available as part of A Muse Studio’s January Collection.
Cyndi is taking one more week off and I hope she enjoys her vacation! This is a good time to announce that I am looking for some more folks to join our Design Team and if you are interested in learning more, please contact me! I’m looking for someone who could commit to creating two projects per month for a year…and I will provide some crafty things to help supplement your A Muse Studio supplies. 🙂
My first card is a fun wintery card and combines two of my current obsessions: snow globes and bottle brush trees. First, I used the A Muse Studio snowglobe die to cut my Blush and Woodgrain cardstock, also from amuse studio. Next I stamped a little forest scene with A Muse Studio’s new Bottle Brush Forest stamp set with Grape and French Roast ink. I used the little speckle stamp (also part of the Bottle Brush Forest set) and white embossed it…adding some swipes of my Versamark ink pad to create snowdrifts which I also white embossed. For my next panel I stamped with another A Muse Studio holiday catalog stamp set: Snowflakes. I continued to use the Grape ink and added Heather ink as well – sponging the edges of my Vanilla cardstock. This panel was matted with Grape cardstock and then mounted on a card made from Twas the Night cardstock. For my finishing touches I used Vanilla twine and the smallest of the new amuse studio Snowflake trio die set. All inks, cardstock, stamps and supplies are from A Muse Studio.
My next card is a quick CAS card that will be perfect for my post-Christmas thank you notes. I used the snowman from Cozy Back, another new stamp set in the A Muse Studio holiday catalog and colored him with copics. I love the fun and fresh color scheme which was inspired by my upline, Angi. I die cut the scalloped oval with a Nestabilities die from the card back before covering the Lime green cardstock with a smaller panel of Bermuda Petite Pinstripe cardstock. It’s a trick I like to do to use my paper carefully! Here I used the Snowflake dies again. Again, all stamps, papers and supplies are from A Muse Studio.
These three stamp sets and the snowflake dies are just a few of the items tucked inside the A Muse Studio Holiday catalog – and it retires on Dec 31st!
