Somehow December has already arrived and it’s true that the holidays are just around the corner! This week’s Amusing Challenge is to make a non-Christmas holiday card! Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner. November’s Grand Prize winner will be announced tomorrow and they will receive this A Muse Studio holiday stamp set called Naughty or Nice.
Cyndi does not disappoint once again. Wow! What a card. I love how she used the snowman from A Muse Studio’s new Holiday Catalog called Cozy Back. It’s so cute how she tucked him into the snowglobe die set, also from amuse. She colored the snowman with copics and added some dots of snow with stickles. The snowflakes are from a retired A Muse Studio stamp set and are white embossed on Silver cardstock. Cyndi always has an eye for details and I love how she stamped some foliage from the A Muse Studio set, Mini Blooms, on the the snowglobe base. The sequins are also from amuse studio and the ribbon is from her stash at home.
For my card I used another new stamp set from the A Muse Studio Holiday Catalog called, Handdrawn Trimmings. This is just a single evergreen branch but I stamped it repeatedly in Grass and Evergreen ink from amuse studio. After I was done, I sponged the background with Sky and Bermuda inks, also from amuse. I cut the panel into fourths and mounted it onto Onyx cardstock and then onto Sugar/Onyx again. As an after thought, I mixed some white flocking and diamond glitter together for a sparkly snow and added it with some Aqua Mono glue – all three of these items are from A Muse Studio. I finished the card off with a sentiment and a nice pop of red from my amuse studio Cherry Satin ribbon.
PS. I hope you will still enter the current Amusing Challenge. It’s anything goes! 🙂
