Thank you for stopping by and checking out this week’s Amusing Challenge!! It’s all about love and hearts this week! Throughout the month I’ll have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner. January’s Prize Winner will receive 5 assorted die cuts of the Berry Box die that is part of February’s Special Collection.
Tricia is back this week with a card full of hearts! I laughed because on her blog, 1PhatChic, she said she loves “love”. Well this card is proof! Tricia used the little lady bug from the A Muse Studio set, My Punny Valentine (available as part of January’s Collection found here). The heart cardstock is also from amuse studio and it’s great that you can get it in an assortment pack or by individual prints (pink/white – Sweetheart or red/white-Heartbreaker). The sequins are also part of the January Collection and Tricia finished the card off by giving it a light spray with A Muse Studio’s Stardust spray. It has a beautiful shimmer to it.
I have a thing for flip cards but can’t seem to master them. Cyndi did so this week and she stepped it up a notch by having her center piece cut in the shape of a heart! Cyndi used the stamp set, Tweet Heart, from A Muse Studio and their Petite Pin Striped cardstock in Onyx. She used some Cherry Organdy ribbon from amuse studio as well. It’s fabulous!
My card (like my last post!) features a chalkboard look and this time I smudged white ink over it and doodled a line with a white gel pen to make it even more authentic! I stamped and embossed this little heart “guy” from the With Love set from A muse Studio’s January Collection. Then, I restamped him in Cherry ink and fussy cut the heart – layering it over on top of the embossed image. My cardstock is also from amuse studio and is: Kraft, Cherry Woodgrain, Cherry Petite Pinstripe and Onyx – all layered on top of a cardbase made from Sugar. These are the Cherry sequins, from amuse studio’s main catalog. I’m waiting on the Sweetheart Sequin Mix from the January Collection to arrive because I understand they are a little different and I can’t wait to see them.
