Amusing Challenge – Happy Holidays

We hit a high of 68 degrees here in Washington DC on Saturday…not quite what we normally think of winter weather up here but I’ll take it.   This week’s Amusing Challenge is “Happy Holidays” and I hope it will help put you in the holiday spirit!  If this is not enough, be sure to visit Friday’s post for my entry into the Coffee Lover’s Holiday Blog Hop…the whole event is amazing and there are lots of prizes!!

Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.  I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner.   This will be the last month of running the prize drawing like this – based on reader/participant feedback, the census was to have a prize winner drawing from all of the participants instead.  So, starting in January we’ll give it a try.   In the meantime, December’s lucky winner will receive a bag of Amuse Studio’s 4 mm sequins – in a color of their choice!

Cyndi tried her hand at making a shaker card.   She used glitter (versus the sequins I’ve been using) and though she worried about it, I think it’s perfect!  The little girl and snowman are colored beautifully and don’t get lost in the business of a shaker card.  Cyndi used Festive Girlfriends (it will only be available in Amuse Studio Holiday Catalog through the end of December) and Cozy Back – which is part of amuse studio’s Clearance Sale!

I spotted these cute tags over on the Amuse Studio blog – they are so simple to whip up for your Christmas packages.  In full disclosure I normally like and encourage stamping on your entries but these were too bright and cheerful not to share.

I have continued to fall in love with the Holiday Greenery stamp set from Amuse Studio’s Holiday Catalog.  There are so many different images and the results are so beautiful each time.  Here I went for a more vintage, soft look with lots of sponging.  The sentiment is just a partial stamp of a larger one – it comes from Especially for You and is now part of Amuse Studio’s previous Monthly Collections “while supplies last”.
