a•muse|studio Be Yourself

amuse studio, flamingo stamp

taken in dappled sunlight

I spotted this Curtain Call challenge via Amy Tsuruta’s blog and knew right away that I had to play along!  August is almost over and it “seems” like after that, I have to put away my flamingo stamp from Amuse Studio’s Be Yourself set until next summer.  It’s kinda like that don’t wear white after Labor Day rule?!?  Or am I wrong?

I really had a heck of a time photographing my card.  I find it so challenging to get skinny sentiments in focus.  I have a tiny digital Lumix camera and I don’t know if that’s the problem or is it in my editing skills?  I use a Creative Memories photo editor and it could be that I am just cropping and focusing wrong.  ugh…so frustrating when the photos just look so way off.  Most of the time when my friends see my cards they say, “oh, that looks so much better than on your blog!”.  Any tips or advice is much appreciated!

What rubber stamping supplies do I need to make this card?

This really was such an easy card to make – I guess that’s why I love clean and simple (CAS) designs!  I used some Blush splash to make the focal panel but the flamingo got lost in the pink so I overstamped that corner with amuse studio’s retired Fine Feathers.  I used Seattle ink but stamped off once to make sure the images were lighter and softer looking.
