Amusing Challenge – Anything Goes

This week’s theme and monthly prize

If you have been coming here for a while, you may be thinking, “what in the world?” It’s not the last week of the month – it’s the first!  Yes and ALL this month we’ll be having an  Anything Goes Amusing Challenge.   You may have heard that Amuse Studio is closing their doors on Nov 27 … I will be with them until the bittersweet end.  All orders this month will receive Happy Mail from me as my thanks.  On 1 Dec I’ll be joining Close to My Heart!  I will need a new challenge name so I’m announcing a contest to help me think of a new one.  Enter your ideas in the comments below and the winning idea (or even one randomly picked winner!) will get a brand new Amuse Studio stamp set from me!  This contest will run the month of November.

Please share any stamped project you are working on this week – please no digital images.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  October’s winner will receive this featured stamp set from Amuse Studio, Fight Like a Girl, from me for free.  The winner will be announced tomorrow.

This Week’s Inspiration

Cyndi made a beautiful fall card with Amuse Studio’s new stamp set, Second Springtime.  I love how she layered the images and colored them in with various Copic markers.  Her sentiment really pops and Cyndi told me she covered it with Crystal Glaze after she was done coloring it.

I love how happy and cheerful this card turned out!  No wonder Amuse Studio named this new Santa stamp set:  Be Light.  I must admit I first thought this was a balloon since that’s how they showed it in the September Collection but then my friend Juliet set me straight.  I guess it can be both an ornament or a balloon!  tee hee.  He was super easy to color and I really like how the embossed sentiments on two different cardstocks look.  I think one of the things I will miss most about Amuse Studio is their incredible dies.  This Scalloped border die has seen a LOT of use in my house and will continue to do so.

  1. My suggestions for new challenge name: Heartful Blessings or I Heart (use a heart symbol) Cricut.
    Melissa
    “Sunshine HoneyBee”

  2. I like that first one Melissa! 🙂 I don’t have a Cricut … yet!?!??

    • I have all the CTMH Cricut cartridges except for the latest floral one. I have a Cricut Explore Air that I’ve had for 2+ yrs. There is a new Cricut Explore that has faster speed but I’m not interested in a new machine with only that feature. Sold my former Cricuts at yard sale and like the Explore a lot.

  3. Oh, I’m so happy to hear that you will be joining Close to My Heart in December. I feel like your style will work perfectly with their products! Hmmmm, I’ll have to think about some challenge names but the first that comes to mind is Creating With Heart.

  4. I just found y’all on the last challenge.

How about “New Beginnings”. or “When one door closes”

    • Hi Bunny! I’m so glad you did find me and that last is one of my favorite sentiments…I have looked to it often throughout my lifetime!

      • We had a Sunday school class named New Beginnings. My husband taught the class and when we had to tear down our Education Bldg. it meant we had Sunday school at our house for 2 years until the new bldg. got built. How we managed to cram the people in our small house I don’t know. They were good times. Although I was glad to have the house back.

  5. Hi Chris – Thanks for the new challenge – I have a few suggestions:

    1. Bless your heart
    2. Crafting from the Heart
    3. Heart to Heart
    4. Ya Gotta Have Heart

    Have a blessed day

  6. More ideas are:
    1. Craft your Heart Out
    2. Full of Heart
    3. Joyful Heart Challenge (because crafting does fill my heart with joy!)

Now I can’t stop thinking about challenge names, ha!

  7. I was surprised to hear about AMuse stamps going out of business but am happy to hear that you’re joining Close to My Heart. I know you’ll rock that business too!! Thanks always for the fun challenges and project samples. With two little girls to chase around I often run out of ideas and I love blogs for inspiration.
Let’s see, ideas for new challenges names could be:

    1. Heart full of Joy
    2. Can’t Stop Crafting
    3. Inky Fingers challenge
    4. Stamp Your Heart Out
    5. Stampin’ Crazy

  8. It turns out there are a lot of bloggers who have the same idea of combining heart, art, and stamping. But here is a possibility that is not taken – Loving Impressions.
Good luck on choosing a blog name. Anxious to see what it will be.

  9. So sorry to see Amuse closing. I always enjoyed seeing the inspiration here on this blog. I think CTMH is a good fit for you and I’m very excited to see what you will have in store for us! Very much looking forward to the inspiration!! As for new challenge names, how about:

    Stamping with Heart
    I {heart} Stamping
    Close to My Stamps
    heARTful Stamping
Anything Goes Stamping (then all your challenges could be an anything goes theme, which seems to be the most popular and my personal favourite).

Whatever you decide, I wish you much success with your new venture! I will be here to support your challenges whenever I can!

  10. Here are two more:

    Heart and Home
    Heart, Home and Happiness

I might be back again if I think of any more…
