My inlaws came to visit and I had to whip out a quick birthday card for my father-in-law. A recent trend (has it been going on a whole year now or just more recently?!) that has caught my eye is to simply stamp your image in black and then give it a smack of color in a circle or other type of shape. It’s such a fun look and so EASY! I think “easy” should be my middle name. hm…better scratch that idea! 🙂
I used a retired set from amuse called Itty Birthday and Lots of Dots. The key here was to use a lighter coverage of ink. I picked some of my CTMH ink pads in: Sweet Leaf, Canary and Glacier – the latter I did stamp off once each time. I am really enjoying my Close To My Heart ink pads and just ordered the last 3 colors to make my collection complete. Woot Woot!
Are you looking for the heARTful stamping challenge winners? I’m off to Germany to visit my sister and her husband so I’ve just kept the challenge open all month. It’s an Anything Goes challenge and you can find the details here.
