A beach lover’s birthday card
I’m not sure if this stamp set will make it into the next catalog or not. I know CTMH sold out of the matching die set during their last special for this stamp set called Swirly Seashells. I think it’s beautiful and even if you can’t get the thin cut die, it’s super easy to fussy cut.
The fabulous thing about watercolors is that they look fine both inside and outside of the lines…in this case I managed to stay inside the lines but when I don’t, I go with it and enjoy that look as well. I almost always feel like an artist when I am watercoloring and CTMH’s paint set makes it even easier.
I love how the paints blend together to achieve this sophisticated look…so much different than the simple, CAS card I shared the other day. This is the card I ended up making for my daughter’s 21st birthday. Hope she likes it! I did add some Gold Peerless watercolor paint for some extra shimmer and sparkle. I picked this wide palette of colors to play along with this week’s Addicted to CAS “rainbow” challenge.
What rubber stamping supplies do I need to make this card?
I did use some Cold Press watercolor paper I had on hand and some older supplies left over from my time with amuse|studio. The majority of supplies, however, are from Close To My Heart.

Sisterhood of Crafters – stamp it
CASology – Grow (it’s my daughter’s bday card + my anticipation of heading to the beach is growing as the days are getting warmer!)
