This month’s theme and monthly prize

Anything Goes + a stamp

Oct 8 – Oct 15

Welcome October!  Wow…the seasons are confused around here for sure.  I am mentally ready for the fall colors but I must admit that I have enjoyed this unseasonably warm days!

Thanks for checking out this week’s Anything Goes heARTful stamping challenge.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  I bought some extra burlap ribbon for my fall wreath making class and I think you will love it!

This Week’s Inspiration

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the special CTMH stamp set, Stronger Together, is filled with inspiring sentiments to give the receiver encouragement and hope.  CTMH is donating all proceeds from the sale of this stamp set to the Red Cross to help with the recent natural disasters.   Want to know more?    Check it out here.

I painted some pink watercolors on cardstock before diecutting the ribbon die.  I was inspired by the Adventure Fundamental paper packet from CTMH.  These gold foiled hearts come from their Silver & Gold paper pack in the Holiday Expressions catalog.  The gold paper is gorgeous and goes beautifully with my gold embossed sentiment.

A Grateful Heart from CTMH is definitely a stamp set that’s perfect for Thanksgiving but I imagine that watercolored, it can be a set for ALL seasons.  After all, most of us can be grateful “most” of the time…either way, it’s a good reminder to start each day positively and with a happy and grateful heart.  I paired this white embossed sentiment with CTMH’s Falling for You paper packet.  I have quite a bit left over from my Fall Wreath class this weekend (see the leaves?  These came from CTMH Cricut bundles – they are amazing in real life) and I’m quite okay with that!  I absolutely LOVE the colors in this packet.

I had a couple of packages to mail out this weekend (including the prize winner for September!) and I wanted to tuck in some quick cards.  These 3 x 3 cards were inspired by some cards I received from the CTMH home office over the past month.  I am repeatedly surprised by the generosity I receive as a CTMH consultant.  Anyways, I was intrigued by the tiny size and this was a perfect way to use up some scraps I had.  I had a lot of fun coloring in this kitty from CTMH’s Punny Pals stamp set.  This is their Operation Smile stamp set for this year and they donate $7 from each set sold – but during October they are MATCHING the donated dollars.  Additionally, if you are a fan of matching dies – during October you can pick up the Punny Pals thin cut dies.  woohoo!!

  3. The pink and gold color combo is so pretty, and is perfect inspiration for Breast Awareness Month. Your Thanksgiving card is GORGEOUS and a great reminder to be grateful for all we have. Thanks for the challenges and for sharing your talents. Whoops, I just realized that I accidentally entered 3 cards instead of 2…but I can’t seem to delete the third one. Sorry~
