DIY Perpetual Calendar

amuse studio 2017 calendar

I was tickled when Linda asked me to come up with some calendar projects using amuse studio’s 2017 calendar downloads.  I shared some of my calendars from last year here, in case you missed that post.

This is amuse’s TENTH year of offering these calendar downloads and they have  donated over $22,000 to wonderful causes as a result of this simple initiative.

This year the proceeds will support GirlUp (www.girlup.org).  Girl Up has partnered with the United Nations to support programs that give girls an equal chance for education, health, social and economic opportunities, and a life free from violence.

The A Muse Studio Calendar Project is an awesome project for crafters of all ages and abilities.  Linda originally designed this project for my daughters to make teacher and family gifts when they were just 4, 6 and 8 years old.  These calendars can be personalized with stamps and photos and there are five different sizes to choose from.  Calendars are fun to make, give and receive!  You can get yours here.

I used the A2 sized perpetual calendar download for this project.   I had just decided to join Close To My Heart when Linda invited me to design a calendar, and I spotted this Flip Stand Album in CTMH’s Clearance Section…which you can purchase here from my webstore.

I’ve had a book for years to keep track of the special family events – but truthfully, I often forgot to flip the pages or even lost track of that book!  This perpetual calendar will keep me super organized – no more late cards!!

I used stamps from CTMH, amuse studio and The Angel Company for my project.  In this same download you will get the actual calendar pages themselves so you could use this same idea but with a decorated calendar…the possibilities are endless and what a great gift this would make!

ummm…under construction!

Why do I play around with my blog “look” at 11 pm on the night before my Christmas party?  That’s taking place in our home?  And I have a cake in the oven?

All I can say is hang on – it’s going to get better!  But you are in the RIGHT place!

I’ll be sharing some of my latest calendars this week (when the sun cooperates and I get some good pictures!) but in the meantime, here are some calendars I created last year!  I used Amuse Studio, The Angel Company and Purple Onion stamps…

4 x 4 size is super cute!

The mini size is fun for decorating a coaster – stick a magnet on the back or hang it with ribbon!  So easy…

I’m in a funny place right now – sad about the final closing of Amuse Studio and eager to jump into my next “home”…Close To My Heart.  I am almost giddy with excitement and can’t wait for December 3 when I sign up for the new starter kit.  woohoo!  Get ready to see some changes around here too…I plan to dust off my blog and don’t be startled when you see my new blog name:  Stamped Blessings.  (PS. you don’t have to do a thing to keep getting my updates – I didn’t mention that earlier!)

I hope you’ll continue with me on this new papercrafting adventure –

I promise it will be fun!

This week’s theme and monthly prize

ALL this month we’ve been having an  Anything Goes Amusing Challenge.   You may have heard that Amuse Studio is closing their doors on Nov 27 — that’s TODAY! All orders this month will receive Happy Mail from me as my thanks – and a huge thanks to those of  you who have already ordered!

Next Sunday I will be officially with Close to My Heart!  Get ready for a new blog look and a NEW challenge name!  I have had some brilliant entries already – you all are so creative – thank you, thank you!  You can still enter your ideas in the comments at this original post.  The winning idea (or even one randomly picked winner!) will get a brand new Amuse Studio stamp set from me!  This contest will run the month of November and ends today!

Please share any stamped project you are working on this week – please no digital images.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  November’s prize winner will receive this Nordic Noel Amuse Studio stamp set.  It’s been one of my favorites over the years and one of my first purchases!  (this one is new – don’t worry!  I’m keeping mine!)

This Week’s Inspiration

Here is another peek at one of my 12 Days of Christmas tutorials.  I love the look of the chalkboard technique but here is an unexpected pop of glitter and sparkle!  These were so fun to make and I can’t wait to use them on a package for someone special!

A while back (in October!) I was super inspired by Laurie Wilson’s joy card.  I knew I wanted to replicate it with Amuse Studio cardstock and this noel die.  It would easily be a one layer card but I didn’t like the way I had centered the words on my cardstock so it was an easy fix to just cut it out and layer it up.  Love it!

I hope you join us!

So this is a sweet and fond farewell to Amuse Studio.  Thank you to Linda, CEO and owner of Amuse, for 5 fabulous and creative years.  I’ve been blessed by many new friendships along the way that I won’t let go of and am thankful for the growth I’ve had over the years.  I loved embracing my CAS nature!

It’s simple to play along:

  • 2 entry limit
  • no digis please!
  • please link back to this Amusing Challenge to be eligible for the monthly prize!
