ummm…under construction!

Why do I play around with my blog “look” at 11 pm on the night before my Christmas party?  That’s taking place in our home?  And I have a cake in the oven?

All I can say is hang on – it’s going to get better!  But you are in the RIGHT place!

a•muse|studio 2017 Calendars

This is A Muse Studio’s TENTH year of Calendars for Charity and they’ve donated over $22,000 to wonderful causes as a result of this simple initiative.

This year the proceeds will support GirlUp (  Girl Up has partnered with the United Nations to support programs that give girls an equal chance for education, health, social and economic opportunities, and a life free from violence.  Linda’s daughters Annabelle and Makenna are ambassadors for GirlUp at their school.

The A Muse Studio Calendar Project is an awesome project for crafters of all ages and abilities. Linda originally designed this project for her daughters to make teacher and family gifts when they were just 4, 6 and 8 years old.  These calendars can be personalized with stamps and photos and there are five different sizes to choose from.  Calendars are fun to make, give and receive!

I’ll be sharing some of my latest calendars this week (when the sun cooperates and I get some good pictures!) but in the meantime, here are some calendars I created last year!  I used Amuse Studio, The Angel Company and Purple Onion stamps…

4 x 4 size is super cute!

The mini size is fun for decorating a coaster – stick a magnet on the back or hang it with ribbon!  So easy…

I’m in a funny place right now – sad about the final closing of Amuse Studio and eager to jump into my next “home”…Close To My Heart.  I am almost giddy with excitement and can’t wait for December 3 when I sign up for the new starter kit.  woohoo!  Get ready to see some changes around here too…I plan to dust off my blog and don’t be startled when you see my new blog name:  Stamped Blessings.  (PS. you don’t have to do a thing to keep getting my updates – I didn’t mention that earlier!)

I hope you’ll continue with me on this new papercrafting adventure –

I promise it will be fun!

And now on to last week’s Amusing Challenge – Anything Goes winners.  Gosh, it can be so hard to narrow it down to just three but I must.

Congratulations to the winners!  Please feel free to grab your blog badge…we are in the final weeks of it’s existence too until the new blog and NEW challenge name is revealed!  Can’t wait!

Also – I want to invite everyone to join in this week’s Amusing Challenge – it’s an Anything Goes theme and I’d love to hit 30 participants this week!  Please help me out and invite your friends to join in!  Share it on Facebook or Tweet about it!  Thank you so much!

Amusing Challenge – Anything Goes

This week’s theme and monthly prize

ALL this month we’ve been having an  Anything Goes Amusing Challenge.   You may have heard that Amuse Studio is closing their doors on Nov 27 — that’s TODAY! All orders this month will receive Happy Mail from me as my thanks – and a huge thanks to those of  you who have already ordered!

Next Sunday I will be officially with Close to My Heart!  Get ready for a new blog look and a NEW challenge name!  I have had some brilliant entries already – you all are so creative – thank you, thank you!  You can still enter your ideas in the comments at this original post.  The winning idea (or even one randomly picked winner!) will get a brand new Amuse Studio stamp set from me!  This contest will run the month of November and ends today!

Please share any stamped project you are working on this week – please no digital images.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  November’s prize winner will receive this Nordic Noel Amuse Studio stamp set.  It’s been one of my favorites over the years and one of my first purchases!  (this one is new – don’t worry!  I’m keeping mine!)

This Week’s Inspiration

Here is another peek at one of my 12 Days of Christmas tutorials.  I love the look of the chalkboard technique but here is an unexpected pop of glitter and sparkle!  These were so fun to make and I can’t wait to use them on a package for someone special!

A while back (in October!) I was super inspired by Laurie Wilson’s joy card.  I knew I wanted to replicate it with Amuse Studio cardstock and this noel die.  It would easily be a one layer card but I didn’t like the way I had centered the words on my cardstock so it was an easy fix to just cut it out and layer it up.  Love it!

So this is a sweet and fond farewell to Amuse Studio.  Thank you to Linda, CEO and owner of Amuse, for 5 fabulous and creative years.  I’ve been blessed by many new friendships along the way that I won’t let go of and am thankful for the growth I’ve had over the years.  I loved embracing my CAS nature!

It’s simple to play along:

  • 2 entry limit
  • no digis please!
  • please link back to this Amusing Challenge to be eligible for the monthly prize!

Wishing my US readers a Happy Thanksgiving!

Today I am so blessed to have both kids home from school.  I’m also thankful for the relationships I have built with many of you!

Looking forward to this next chapter of papercrafting that lies ahead.

Ever Thankful!
