CTMH Tea-rrific Stamp of the Month

Close to my Heart

I didn’t realize it but yesterday was National Tea for Two Day!  And, in case you haven’t heard, the Spring Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop kicks off this Friday!  I’m back as a Super Sponsor and I’ll have a special blog prize here and one more in my Stamped Blessing VIP Group on Facebook!  If you are not a demo and haven’t joined yet – I hope you do!

This card is super fast and easy to create.  The only waiting time is for you watercolor paper to dry!  I like to just lay my work under a big stack of books overnight but I know you can use washi/painters tape to first lay it down and then let it dry that way or, hit it with a heat gun.  Just depends how fast you have to get it in the mail or your level of patience, tee hee…

What rubber stamping supplies do I need for this card?

I did use some ink sprays I have left over from my a|s demo days but you could easily ink up an acrylic block with CTMH inks and then spritz the block once or twice to get things moving.  Then firmly press down on your watercolor paper and keep pressing for a moment or two.  The longer you let it go, the more color seems to seep in.  I find, since the block is clear!, if you have a bare spot you can always touch it up by adding a little more color to that spot on your block and reapplying.  It’s so easy and I love the card here with these same technique.

Tea-rrific | S1703 | $17.95 or spend $50.00 and it’s just $5!

Time is running out for CTMH’s Stamp of the Month and their thin cuts dies sale…the latter is while supplies last and I’ve noticed a few items disappearing!

heARTful stamping challenge – Spring!

This week’s theme and monthly prize

Spring  + a stamp

Mar 19 – Mar 26

This week’s heARTful stamping Challenge is to create something with Spring in mind.  Can you believe Monday is officially spring?  This past week we basically had our first snow of the winter so it’s odd that spring is around the corner.

You can find last week’s challenge here – open through Sunday, midnight.

Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  I was able to pick up an extra February CTMH’s Stamp of the Month which I think is perfect for Easter – it’s called Easter Bunny

This Week’s Inspiration

Cyndi did an amazing job with her spring card – this just makes me happy inside!  I love how she used some of the stamps from this month’s Easter Bunny prize – now that you can no longer buy this CTMH Stamp of the Month set, you will really want to win it here!  tee hee.  Cyndi also used the cute little bird from CTMH’s Some Kinda Wonderful set.  Doesn’t this card make you smile?!?

I have been using my CTMH watercolor paints a lot lately – I’ve shared some creations like this elegant Hello Lovely card here and this sweet card here featuring this month’s prize stamp set, Easter Bunny.  This card is a totally different look because I embossed the flower stamp from CTMH’s Stamp of the Month Tea-rrific and then watercolored over it.  The emboss resist technique is one I go to often!  The sentiment is from CTMH’s stamp set called Dreamin’ Big.  I also have used it in my next card below!  I finished the flower centers off with a dab of Liquid Glass.  Almost a one layer card and definitely a CAS design.

Here is one of the cards we made at my Hostess Club get-together this week.  It features the Dreamin’ Big paper pack from CTMH and their Dreamin’ Big stamp and thin cuts die bundle.  Which…is on SALE for 25% off this month!!  ALL CTMH thin cut dies are on sale this month – so it’s a great time to get those word thin cut dies or stamp/die bundles you’ve been eyeing!!  I love how many cards I can get out of a CTMH paper packet or cardmaking kit…these 12 x 12 sheets go a long way.  My only complaint is that I typically love both sides of the paper and have a hard time choosing which pattern to show.  I guess that’s a good problem!  tee he…

supplies: Dreamin’ Big stamp and matching thincut die set (CTMH), Dreamin’ Big paper pack, White Daisy cardstock, Poppy ink

CTMH Heart Thincut dies {did I mention a sale?}

Close To My Heart

If you saw my weather map during yesterday’s post and were wondering about the outcome – the storm was severely downgraded BUT we did get the day off from school…it’s definitely a heavy, wet 2 inches of snow, mostly ice rain but that’s tapered off and things are warming up.  That means I can post today – and, write my many thank you notes that are due to customers who have ordered this past month.  I’m also finishing up my mid-month inspiration tutorial and it’s fabulous so if you don’t get my newsletters, it’s not too late to sign up (upper left sidebar).

Okay, on to these two cards!!  You know I am a clean and simple (CAS) card kind of lady.  I do like to have extra special details though like in this embossed heart!

These cards are from my recent Hello Lovely Workshop and I have one to-go kit left!  The cost is just $25 and that includes 12 unique card kits plus a box that you assemble to hold the cards!  It’s gorgeous and you will also get a PDF instruction sheet with photos for assembly.  Email me if you’d like to get this last kit.

What rubber stamping supplies do I need for this card?

The really GREAT news is CTMH has all of it’s thincut dies (including stamp and die bundles!) on sale this month for 25% off!  Their thin cut Hearts die is one of my favorites because you can use the thin outline and the leftover inside piece as I did in these cards.

CTMH Hello Lovely

close to my heart

I needed a quick birthday card and grabbed my CTMH ink pads and the Here for You stamp set from their cardmaking kit.  I shared more about these kits here in this post – it’s a great value!   I have some “toothy” watercolor paper and just lightly spritzed the paper first with water.  Then I could quickly ink and stamp my flowers…I used two shades of the yellow and pinkish toned inks.  Another way to do this (and I did this on some of my leaves if I found that paper had dried) was to ink and then spritz my stamp with water before stamping.  That has a little less “bleeding” if uncontrolled stamping is not your thing or is too scary!  tee hee…  I do love the look of this clean and simple birthday card, how about you?

Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  I have been working on becoming more “organized” as I start my CTMH business (I’ve been stamping over 11 years now!) and I came across this new and uncut rubber cling set I have that is perfect for this month..  February’s random prize winner will receive this rubber stamp set … I will be announcing the winner tomorrow, Monday Mar 6!

This Week’s Inspiration

Cyndi’s card is guaranteed “tu-tu” make you smile!!  Corny, I know – but isn’t this card sweet?  Cyndi did some amazing coloring and then fussy cut out this adorable little giraffe and hippo from CTMH’s Safari Ballet.  That hippo looks like she has on purple lipstick.  And, I love the extra little pop of bling to make this card extra girlie.

The card I’m sharing with you is actually happy mail that I was lucky enough to receive from Mischelle Smith. I have known Mischelle for over 11 years through our love of stamping and the internet…I have an inspiration board that her work always goes when I’m lucky enough to receive one of her works of wonder! Don’t miss out on her whole series of CTMH’s Some Kinda Wonderful here on her blog, Mischellemakes. She has an incredible eye and you won’t be disappointed!  The best part? This month CTMH has all dies on sale for 25% off and that includes stamp/die bundles like this set!  And the heart die Mischelle used as well… Close To My Heart
