CTMH Shower Flowers Decorate a Birthday Card

CTMH Shower Flowers are the perfect finish to this CAS birthday card, Some Kinda Wonderful paper pack, CTMH inks

As we approach the last week of July, that means the soon to be retired CTMH products, like this Shower Flowers stamp set, will be gone soon.  I fell in love with this funky flower set and have gotten quite a bit of use from it.  This card here is a often repinned on Pinterest!  These little flowers just pop with color – I used CTMH’s Goldrush and Poppy inks.  The designer paper is actually one of the Project Life type cards that come in the 12 x 12 paper packs – this one is from the now retired, Dreamin’ Big paper pack.

CTMH Lovely Leaves and Gold Embossing

CTMH Lovely Leaves are gold embossed and then loosely watercolored for this dramatic look! CAS cards - watercolouring

It’s inevitable that some stamps must retire from a catalog to make way for new goodies, but I am sad to see this Lovely Leaves stamp set from CTMH retire at the end of this month.  It’s such an easy card and I was totally inspired (think “Copy And Stole Everything” – CASE) from Mischelle Smith’s work here in the Take Ten Stamper’s Sampler.

I love Mischelle’s loose, flowy style of watercolouring paired with the pop of gold embossing.  I can’t wait to try this on more cards!

What rubber stamping supplies do I need to make this card?

I happened to use a thick, cold press watercolor paper which I cut to 8 1/2 x 11.  I like to run the cardstock folded to an A2 card size through my Big Shot to flatten it a bit.  Makes it easier to watercolor and emboss!  Other than the watercolor paper and “With Sympathy” sentiment, all supplies are from Close To My Heart.

Don’t forget – Lovely Leaves is one of the many stamps sets and products – CTMH will be retiring at the end of this month!  I’ve also posted some upcoming price increases on my Stamped Blessings FB page so if you haven’t already – please hop over and Like and then click Follow to make sure you stay in the loop!

Not Your Average Unicorn Stamp! CTMH’s Little Dreamer for Cardmaking.

Little Dreamer - CTMH's cardmaking stamp set, Glitter paper makes the perfect cloud, watercolor background | CAS cards | Have a Magical Day!

Soft, easy watercolor backgrounds are everywhere these days!  I thought it would make the perfect backdrop for my unicorn – doesn’t she look like she’s prancing through a patch of fluffy, glitter clouds?  This card makes me smile!

Little Dreamer for cardmaking is one of CTMH’s new stamp sets in their Seasonal Expressions 2 catty.    It’s live through the end of August and you can take advantage of this month’s Stampaganza sale – where CTMH lets you buy 2 stamps and then get a third one FREE!  Now you may not normally be a “unicorn” fan – and heavens knows, there are a LOT to choose from out there! – but what I like about this Close To My Heart set is that you can “build” it with different colors…like look at her two-toned horn!  I also used a totally different color scheme and sentiment on this card.  The tail can also go down, straight out or tilt upwards.  I’ve also made this little unicorn into a very cute horse.  I’ll be sharing that idea shortly with you!

Little Dreamer - CTMH's cardmaking stamp set, Glitter paper makes the perfect cloud, watercolor background | CAS cards | Have a Magical Day!

This card has just the right amount of magical sparkle!  If you don’t like to fussy cut, the great news is that CTMH has started carrying thin cut dies to match many of their stamp sets.  woot woot!

What rubber stamping supplies do I need to make this card?

I did use my scallop dies from a|s to die cut CTMH’s White Glitter paper (this comes in several different colors).  I also gave this card a spritz of Stardust Finishing spray. All other CTMH supplies you can find below…

CTMH Retiring Lots of Stamps including Way To Go

CTMH Way To Go retires Jul 31, CAS Happy Everything card, love the scalloped border

I CASEd this card from another Close To My Heart consultant (but I don’t remember who – I’m sorry!) because I love how many pieces it used from CTMH’s Way To Go stamp set.  It’s fun to use and intermix many stamps to make a card, but it’s equally satisfying to use just one stamp set to make a whole card!  I love all of the fun “ribbons and banners” in this set, but I also love the fancy font in Way To Go.  Perhaps my favorite part though, is that scalloped border!  Turn it around and it’s the perfect cloudy sky outline 🙂

So, this is one of the stamp sets CTMH is retiring at the end of the month.  They are also retiring the color of the year:  Sea Glass.  This is a good time to stock up on paper and get your reinker before they are gone.

What rubber stamping supplies do I need to make this card?

I did use a couple of different inks on this card, but by doing “second generation” stamping – that is not reinking and stamping a second time – I managed to get even more color variation.  It’s a great rubber stamping technique!

Farewell CTMH Wreath and Memo Fundamentals

CTMH retiring Wreath stamp set and Memo Fundementals | Hello Foxy Stamp of the Month (STOM) | CAS card design

After school got out last week, I rolled into some mega cardmaking events at my home.  We made this card featuring many soon to be retired CTMH supplies including this gorgeous Wreath stamp, it comes with the option of a matching die by the way!, the Memo Fundamentals paper pack and now as of convention time – I know that Whisper (and all of the basic colors for that matter!) are retiring as well.  The lighting makes the cardstock almost look like Colonial White (eeck!  That CTMH cardstock is retiring as well) but I promise it is White Daisy.  I think it was the early morning light that altered the photo but I imagine the card would look lovely with ivory toned paper too.

If you want to stock up on some supplies before they retire, don’t miss out on CTMH’s Stampaganza event!  It’s buy 2 stamp sets and get 1 free!  And, you can do that repeatedly – ha ha…

What rubber stamping supplies do I need to make this card?

I happened to use 2 green Copic markers for coloring in my wreath but you can easily use colored pencils, watercolor pencils or Tombow type markers.  Of course you can also use CTMH’s ShinHan markers – I just don’t have any {yet}.  I also used a tiny tag punch and only inked up the sentiment partially to keep the Hello.  Do you see those little dots I hand doodled?  They are subtle but add a lot.  The twill ribbon and twine are from a|s.
