Things I love…
CAS cards – check!
Word dies – check!
CTMH patterned paper – check!
This card!! This card is a super CAS (clean and simple) design and it’s perfect for using up paper scraps. We all have them, right?! If you are like me – they are hard to throw away. This card features CTMH’s Hello Lovely patterned paper pack and some of the matching Hello Lovely stamp/thin cut die bundle. The focal point though is CTMH’s Gold Glitter paper cut with their Love sentiment thin cut die.
See that peek of the Sorbet stamp pad up in the corner? Close To My Heart has redesigned their ink pads and made them – in my humble opinion – the best holder on the market. The inks are pretty good too, tee hee… Seriously though. These ink pads are large (think iPhone 7 size vs. the 5) and are magnetic so you can stack them or attach the lid underneath so your workspace is less cluttered…or you don’t cap the wrong ink. Experience talking here…
I’ll be out of the net for the next week so if you have any questions – it will take me a while to get back to you as I will not have any internet access. Please feel free to browse/shop in my absence and I will catch up with my thank you notes upon my return!
This month’s theme and monthly prize
Anything Goes + a stamp
Apr 2 – May 6
This is NOT an April’s Fools joke – we’ll be having an Anything Goes theme ALL MONTH LONG here at the heARTful stamping Challenge.
Normally throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing. This month is a C R A Z Y month for me with taxes due, inlaws visiting and a Spring Break trip to Germany to visit my sister. On top of it, I have to go in and expedite my passport renewal – one week out from my trip I found out that I am required to have my passport valid for 6 months past my travel dates…mine is only valid for 3 months longer! Who knew?!? argh… Anyways, this will be more fun for you!
I was able to pick up an extra February CTMH’s Stamp of the Month which I think is perfect for Easter – it’s called Easter Bunny. The winner will be announced tomorrow, April 3…and then I’ll just update my blog post to post the next prize for April. Thanks for being patient with me!
This Week’s Inspiration
Cyndi had some fun combining CTMH’s Dreamin Big bug stamps with a floral embossing folder she had on hand. This card just makes me think, Spring!! I absolutely love the purples and blues together – and look at that sparkle on the dragonfly! Wouldn’t you LOVE getting this in your mailbox?! This stamp set is available only through the end of April.
supplies: Dreamin’ Big stamp set from CTMH
I needed to make a birthday card for my Sister-In-Law and I remember seeing a card somewhere on my feed or Pinterest that had this layout of sorts. I think there was a recent sketch challenge with it. Anyways, it made an impression on me and I thought CTMH’s Hello Lovely stamp set would be perfect for this! I used my watercolor paints from CTMH to watercolor the flowers – in real life the rose matches this Sorbet cardstock perfectly.

Last day to get this Tea-rrifc stamp set from CTMH…
I think I got more use out of this Tea-rrifc set which is CTMH’s Stamp of the Month than previously! Wow! Of course, by being a Super Sponsor and participating in Amy Tsuruta’s Spring Coffee Lover’s blog hop gave me an extra excuse to get crafty! I had a lot of fun coloring this stack of teacups with my copic markers.
I’ve never been really good at mixing different patterned paper together until CTMH solved that problem for me! They have some lovely packs that come out with their Seasonal Expressions ( 3 times a year!) and this Hello Lovely pack is no exception. With the scraps I had left over I made this really fast and simple CAS card below. I didn’t even need to color it because I think this lovely sentiment steals the show!

Don’t miss out on your chance to win 3 different prizes from me but the fun all ends at midnight, March 31st!!
CTMH Thin Cut Sale – while supplies last!
It’s true! CTMH is having a thin cuts sale for 25% off through March 31…you only have one more day and it’s only while supplies last!! Sadly you can’t get the matching dies to this CTMH Dreamin Big stamp set as it is sold out but there are still some fantastic deals. I just placed my second order – ssshhhh.
Here is a sampling of some of my favorite thin cut dies…but the stamp/die bundles are also on sale and they are an AMAZING deal right now. I was used to paying this price for just a die set with my previous company and now with CTMH I get the stamp and the die for an unbelievable price. YAY!
Dreamin’ Big is a great set though so I still recommend you get it! I’ve made some really fun cards with it and this Dreamin Big card I made has been repinned over 400 times!
I had really never used clear stamps before I joined and became a CTMH Consultant. One of my favorite things is how flexible they are. For instance, look at the dotted butterfly “path”! It’s really a thin, narrow stamp set but I could curve it on the block and it stayed put perfectly. Love that!!
I’m playing along with the Less Is More challenge and their cue card is “frame”. I CASEd a card I saw using Papertrey Ink stamps and just changed it up a bit to use the supplies I have. I love that it’s a CAS card design but still so bright and cheerful. I have a ton of customer thank you notes that are over due (trying to crank out my taxes and still have time to play, um, stamp! – sorry!) but I think this is a perfect design and I hope to make a few more this week and get them mailed! Happy mail!!

Today I’m playing along with the Spring Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop but I hope you didn’t miss my entry and post as a Super Sponsor right here! It was a beautiful card (I can say that, right?!) and totally different from this creation…
What rubber stamping supplies do I need to make this card?
I was inspired by a card I saw a few weeks ago but I failed to pin it and can’t find it now. Rats. I used a waterbrush and some ink off the lid of my CTMH Pomengranate ink pad for the tea cup. This cup is from CTMH’s March Stamp of the Month called Tea-rrific and so you can only get it this week yet (or, win my Super Sponsor prize! tee hee). I used the rubber stamp set from their Here for You Cardmaking Kit to stamp the foliage around the border. This is one of my favorite quick and easy techniques…I call it “faux watercolor”. I inked up my stamp with CTMH ink and then spritzed it lightly with water before stamping on watercolor paper. You can always spritz the paper a little more or use a waterbrush (which I did here) to spread some areas out even more. I did fussy cut my tea cup before popping it up; but, lately CTMH is carrying more and more matching thin cut dies with their stamp sets. Yay!

I’m loving all the sentiments and tea cup images in this Tea-rrific stamp set. Don’t miss out on the extra prizes I’m offering on my first hop entry!
