This week’s theme and monthly prize
repeat “this” + a stamp
Feb 19 – Feb 26
This week’s heARTful stamping Challenge is to focus on repeating something…but please be sure to use stamps in your project! You can find last week’s challenge here.
Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing. I have been working on becoming more “organized” as I start my CTMH business (I’ve been stamping over 11 years now!) and I came across this new and uncut rubber cling set I have that is perfect for this month.. February’s random prize winner will receive this rubber stamp set …
This Week’s Inspiration
I have a lot of floral stamps that I’ve collected over the years. Some are realistic and others are what I call, funky! I really liked the possibility that I saw in CTMH’s Shower Flowers. This set of florals offers a little bit of both worlds! I also think this color combo is perfect for this time of year – with this mild winter here in Northern VA I can see my daffodils are ready to pop open!
supplies: Shower Flowers stamp set, Dreamin’ Big stamp set from Seasonal Expressions Catalog 1, Sweet Leaf and White Daisy cardstock, Slate, Canary and Sweat Leaf ink, corner rounder – CTMH; Medium Scalloped border die, twine, Slate Splash – a|s
Last week I had some fun with the emboss resist technique and I have to admit, once I start it, I have a hard time stopping! So, here we go again! My set of CTMH watercolor pencils and Operation Smile True Love stamp set came in the mail on Friday. So exciting. I’ve been eyeing this stamp set for awhile (I love that $7 from each purchase goes to a great cause – Operation Smile fixes Cleft Palates) but I made myself “pace myself” as I thumb through the CTMH catalog(s).
This card is a birthday card for my niece and I love that she often wears her long hair in pigtails. This little gal reminds me of her. One of the really cool things about CTMH is that many of their patterned paper packs match well across paper packs AND they all have a small decorative strip across the top of each 12 x 12 sheet. One side is a unique pattern (that matches the set) and the other side tells you the name of the paper pack and the colors that match. Makes life so SIMPLE!! A little liquid glass makes her heart really shine.
supplies: True Love stamp set, White Daisy, Sugar Rush (sprinkles paper) and Dreamin’ Big (blue tone top strip) cardstock, Watercolor pencils, white embossing powder, Liquid Glass – CTMH; Habanero Splash – a|s
