heARTful stamping challenge – Spring!

This week’s theme and monthly prize

Spring  + a stamp

Mar 19 – Mar 26

This week’s heARTful stamping Challenge is to create something with Spring in mind.  Can you believe Monday is officially spring?  This past week we basically had our first snow of the winter so it’s odd that spring is around the corner.

You can find last week’s challenge here – open through Sunday, midnight.

Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  I was able to pick up an extra February CTMH’s Stamp of the Month which I think is perfect for Easter – it’s called Easter Bunny

This Week’s Inspiration

Cyndi did an amazing job with her spring card – this just makes me happy inside!  I love how she used some of the stamps from this month’s Easter Bunny prize – now that you can no longer buy this CTMH Stamp of the Month set, you will really want to win it here!  tee hee.  Cyndi also used the cute little bird from CTMH’s Some Kinda Wonderful set.  Doesn’t this card make you smile?!?

supplies: Easter Bunny Feb STOM set, Some Kinda Wonderful stamp set

I have been using my CTMH watercolor paints a lot lately – I’ve shared some creations like this elegant Hello Lovely card here and this sweet card here featuring this month’s prize stamp set, Easter Bunny.  This card is a totally different look because I embossed the flower stamp from CTMH’s Stamp of the Month Tea-rrific and then watercolored over it.  The emboss resist technique is one I go to often!  The sentiment is from CTMH’s stamp set called Dreamin’ Big.  I also have used it in my next card below!  I finished the flower centers off with a dab of Liquid Glass.  Almost a one layer card and definitely a CAS design.

Sequins, watercolor paper – other

Here is one of the cards we made at my Hostess Club get-together this week.  It features the Dreamin’ Big paper pack from CTMH and their Dreamin’ Big stamp and thin cuts die bundle.  Which…is on SALE for 25% off this month!!  ALL CTMH thin cut dies are on sale this month – so it’s a great time to get those word thin cut dies or stamp/die bundles you’ve been eyeing!!  I love how many cards I can get out of a CTMH paper packet or cardmaking kit…these 12 x 12 sheets go a long way.  My only complaint is that I typically love both sides of the paper and have a hard time choosing which pattern to show.  I guess that’s a good problem!  tee he…

CTMH Sweet Birthday stamp/die bundle – FREE!

I am a little late in pointing this out on March 18 – but did you know that if you join my CTMH team during March, you will get this Sweet Birthday stamp and thin cut die bundle for FREE with your starter kit?

It’s true!

I have been loving my 4 months with CTMH and can’t believe how easy it was to join them and have my hobby/business up and running.  I keep pinching myself that I earned their Straight to the Top incentives early and I’m looking forward to my first official stamping event EVER next weekend.  Want to join me?!?

I’m here to answer any questions and would love to have you join my growing team!

CTMH Tea-rrific Stamp of the Month

Close To My Heart

I’ve been playing with CTMH’s Stamp of the Month called Tea-rrific as I am getting ready for the Spring Coffee Lover’s Blog hop coming next week.  It’s been so fun but I’m anxious to share some of this great stamp set RIGHT NOW with you!  Luckily last night I had some time after work – and two card challenges – made this card come together so quickly.  I totally love it and hope you do too!

I love the 3 different tea cup options in this Tea-rrific stamp set and it has some wonderful sentiments, as well as this single flower…

What rubber stamping supplies do I need for this card?

I added some texture with one of my CTMH Cricut Flower Market bundle stamps to the teacup before adding just a little ink on the sides of the cup.  In fact, the sentiment comes from one of the 3 sets as well.  It’s an unbelievable value to get a paper pack, Cricut cartridge (or digital download which I do – so it’s even cheaper!) and 3 Size D stamp sets.  What’s even more amazing is that this package qualifies as a Hostess 1/2 price item – so what are you waiting for?!  Contact me to throw your own CTMH party!

I watercolored the flowers quickly and easily with my Close to My Heart watercolor pencils – love how they match their papers and inks.

CTMH Hello Lovely stamps + papers

Close To My Heart

I had a little time to play and found this great sketch over at CAS(E) this sketch! and just in the nick of time.  I ended up changing my panels slightly, although I wish I had left them as the original sketch shows – it definitely would have been easier that way!  Did you know that CTMH is having a Thin Cuts die sale and that includes stamp/die bundles like the Hello Lovely set I used here!  You can save 25% all month long.

What rubber stamping supplies do I need for this card?

I have been using a LOT of CTMH’s Hello Lovely paper pack these days.  I had a workshop for 13 folks and we made 12 cards each – that left me with quite a bit of scraps.  This card sketch was perfect for using some of those up!

I did very little coloring – but after I stamped the Hello Lovely set from CTMH, I added a little color in with my Sorbet inkpad and waterbrush.  I didn’t use watercolor paper so I had to be careful because my New England Ivy wanted to run if I got too close, and the Sorbet soaked in instantly.  I like the results – and almost added some color to my smile sentiment from CTMH’s Cricut Artistry stamp/paper and digital bundle.

squeal!!! So excited to have found out that I was a CAS(E) this Sketch! winner for this card. Thank you so much for the honor!

CTMH Heart Thincut dies {did I mention a sale?}

Close To My Heart

If you saw my weather map during yesterday’s post and were wondering about the outcome – the storm was severely downgraded BUT we did get the day off from school…it’s definitely a heavy, wet 2 inches of snow, mostly ice rain but that’s tapered off and things are warming up.  That means I can post today – and, write my many thank you notes that are due to customers who have ordered this past month.  I’m also finishing up my mid-month inspiration tutorial and it’s fabulous so if you don’t get my newsletters, it’s not too late to sign up (upper left sidebar).

Okay, on to these two cards!!  You know I am a clean and simple (CAS) card kind of lady.  I do like to have extra special details though like in this embossed heart!

These cards are from my recent Hello Lovely Workshop and I have one to-go kit left!  The cost is just $25 and that includes 12 unique card kits plus a box that you assemble to hold the cards!  It’s gorgeous and you will also get a PDF instruction sheet with photos for assembly.  Email me if you’d like to get this last kit.

What rubber stamping supplies do I need for this card?

The really GREAT news is CTMH has all of it’s thincut dies (including stamp and die bundles!) on sale this month for 25% off!  Their thin cut Hearts die is one of my favorites because you can use the thin outline and the leftover inside piece as I did in these cards.
