heARTful stamping challenge Winners!

Good news! My dad loved his birthday card that I posted here AND it arrived on time. woohoo…

It’s another busy morning, I’m trying to get Hostess club packages in the mail and some thank you notes for customer orders out too! The weekend passes by just too quickly…sigh. If you have to go to work on Mondays, I’m sure you know exactly what I’m saying.

Wow! I think we may have had a record number of participants in last week’s heARTful stamping challenge. Please keep spreading the news. I also posted my January prize in yesterday’s post – it’s definitely worth entering one more time this week – it’s a great stamp set from CTMH called Created to Create.

Anything Goes + a stamp

Jan 28 –  Feb 4

Welcome to January’s last  week of Anything Goes heARTful stamping challenge!  I just realized I had not posted this month’s prize yet – I’m sorry!  Believe me, it’s been a busy start to the year!

If this is your first visit here, there are normally weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.   Since you are stampers playing along with this challenge, I’m hoping January’s winner will love this CTMH stamp set called:  Created to Create.

This Week’s Inspiration

Debi from That Might Look Good on a Card, is back to “work” on my design team!  woo hoo.  I always love what Debi creates…she does a lot of fun fold cards and this is another great folding project.  Debi really put CTMH’s new paper pack, Chelsea Gardens, to good use!  The background paper looks amazing embossed and I love the pop of green in the vine die cut.  Gorgeous Debi!

It’s birthday month in my family!  Well, my dad and I both have our birthdays in January and one of my favorite stories growing up was that my Dad said if they didn’t have a child soon, he wanted to buy a Porsche.  I arrived 4 days before his birthday and ruined it for him.  tee hee.  Luckily he never held it against me – probably because we both LOVE cake! So this new stamp set from CTMH, Free Cake!, cracks me up and it’s perfect for birthday cards.  The Stargazer paper pack from CTMH also makes for a CAS but colorful masculine birthday card.

Anything Goes + a stamp

Jan 21 –  28

Welcome to this week’s Anything Goes heARTful stamping challenge!  I had to say goodbye to my daughter last week as she headed back to school for her LAST semester of college – yikes!  My son leaves on the 23rd and the house will be super quiet again.  I’ll probably throw myself into stamping as I’ve been slacking off a bit lately.

If this is your first visit here, there are normally weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.

This Week’s Inspiration

I was horrified to hear how bad the flu season is in the US this year.  Last year I had the vaccine and still came down with a bad case – I and 9 kids in my Kindergarten class were hit over the same weekend!  This year I didn’t get the vaccine and so I’m a bit worried.  Cyndi has a timely card with all of that going on!  She used a retired CTMH set and although being sick is never a laughing matter, this did make me smile!

I was tickled to get  a new recruit on my team this month and even more blown away when Tara HIT all three steps to CTMH’s Straight to the Top rewards in one month.  She blew my record out of the water!  woohoo!  I had fun making this card for Tara using one of the stamp sets that is part of the Straight to the Top rewards (fabulous & You sentiments) and the butterfly is from CMTH’s new stamp set:  Chelsea Gardens.  I watercolored the gold foil paper from the Live Beautifully paper pack – CTMH just put it in the Clearance section!  I’ve also colored it with Copic markers which you can see here.

This Week’s Inspiration

Cyndi is back with another sweet Valentine themed card using CTMH’s Punny Pals stamp set.  I love the colors here – the black is so striking with the pinks and reds.  Punny Pals is this year’s Operation Smile stamp set – it’s where Close To My Heart donates $7 for each stamp set sold.  It’s a great cause and a super cute stamp!

I needed to make a few thank you cards for Christmas gifts.  I was delighted that I could use two holiday sets to make decent cards without them seeming that they should have been Christmas cards!  I used some leftover papers from CTMH’s Silver and Gold and Beary Christmas paper packages – they are such fun prints!  I also used CTMH’s two Workshop Your Way kit stamp sets:  Merriest Wishes and Joyful Tidings.  Although all of these items are now retired – you can still find them in the Going Soon section.  The “thanks” sentiment is a great sized font and is from CTMH’s new stamp set called Chelsea Gardens and you can find it in their new Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog.
