Sketch #7

Cyndi had some fun with a “Valentine’s Day” themed stamp set, Tweet Heart, and she did an incredible job turning it into a fall card.  Wow, she is so creative!  She also used the Essential Sentiments set from a•muse studio and this leaf  is from their exclusive candy box die set.

I thought this sketch would work well with a birthday theme.  For this “Take 1″ version, I kept it pretty simple and color wise I think you could use it for either a male or female!

“Take 2″ just dresses it up a bit with a sheer ribbon and one of a•muse studio’s Not Your Grandmother’s button collection…

Buttons!

Cyndi is another member of my hostess club and design team!  She sent me this wonderful card for yesterday’s Amusing Challenges but I had some operator error on my part and couldn’t get it resized and posted in time.

The good news is that I can share her Tweet Heart card with you today!  She included so many lovely details…glitter inside the leaves and I think the Mini Polka Dot paper adds some fun to the card.  I love those birds on the twine and the buttons in the tree!

Amusing Challenges

Welcome to my second week of Amusing Challenges!  I’m so glad you popped in to take a look and I hope you’ll find time this week to play along…I was thrilled to have over 30 participants in my first week.  The random winner will be posted tomorrow!

Each Sunday I’ll be having a different type challenge – but over a month you will see:  “use it”, theme, color or a sketch challenge.  I will have a random winner and at the end of the month a random winner from the four weekly winners will receive a prize. This month’s prize is a bag of assorted a•muse studio buttons!

This week’s Amusing Challenge is a theme:  Saint Patrick’s Day or Good Luck

As I was digging around my stash of supplies I found that I really didn’t have any clover, or “good” Saint Patrick’s Day images.  a•muse studio does have a super set of sayings called, Essential Sentiments so I started there with my greeting and created clovers from my a•s die.  I hand cut a sliver of the green shimmer paper to create the stem.  And, of course, a little embossing of the harlequin die to add some more interest!

Cheryl had a similar idea and used Spellbinder hearts for her clover.  She also chose a•muse studio polka dot paper -  it’s perfect for clovers!

Amusing Challenges

I was tickled that Cyndi went with a Good Luck theme and she used the a•muse studio Tweet Heart set and bakers twine for her card – she still managed to make a clover though with the heart stamp that is part of that set.  Lots of great details here!
