I love how this card turned out – it’s clean and simple (CAS) but it’s also so elegant! You may be searching right now for the “gold” in this card but that’s the name of the sentiment’s stamp set! It’s called Silver and Gold and it’s from Close To My Heart. I’ve also used the CTMH Cricut bundle called You Are Here and Flower Market for these beautiful snowflakes. I was inspired by Jessica Frost-Ballas and Australian CTMH Consultant Doreen Watkins helped me make this happen! I had no idea how to lock my images in place and Doreen created a cut file for my in Cricut – thank you so much!! CTMH consultants are the best!
Here is a close up of the shimmer and shine on these snowflakes!
I first painted on some Silver Nicholson Peerless watercolor paint but I wanted a little variation in the background colors. I added just two drops worth of the CTMH Glacier reinker and randomly brushed that on.
I hope this helps you look at your dies and cutting files in a new way!
My favorite tree is next door in the neighbor’s front yard. It turns the most beautiful shades of yellow with dashes of red. That tree has totally turned now, way ahead of the rest of the trees in our neighborhood, and really has put me in the fall mood!
I also still have some skeleton leaves leftover from my Fall Wreath project here. I used the new Cricut bundle that CTMH has released called, You Are Here. These papers are leftover from the wreath too and the Ruby, Almond and Nutmeg cardstock are amazing together. The little white and brown strip is from the Falling For You paper pack and it’s a “zip strip”. Love those! And the Leaves embossing folder from CTMH’s Holiday Expressions are amazing!
I was really excited to use my new CTMH Splash of Color stamp set. I think it will be great for watercoloring and here I found it was perfect for adding some interest to this bottom panel. The sentiments from CTMH’s Happy Heart finished the card off and I just love the rich hues of these colors.
I have some thank you notes I need to send out to my October customers and this will be going out in tomorrow’s mail! Thank you, thank you!!
Cyndi was lucky enough to be at a crop Friday – Saturday but the wifi connection wasn’t strong enough to send her photo out in time for this week’s heARTful stamping challenge. But lucky you – you still get to see it today! 🙂 I love how Cyndi embossed the sentiment from CTMH’s Stronger Together stamp set. With just a few colors she was able to pull together an elegant CAS card. Love it! And, I also love that CTMH is donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this stamp set. Have you gotten yours yet?!
And now I’d like to introduce you to last week’s heARTful stamping challenge winners! woohoo…the entries are all so fabulous!

Congratulations to the winners this past week and I hope everyone will return for this week’s heARTful stamping challenge. It’s an Anything Goes theme and I’m hoping to continue to grow our participation! 🙂

This is my second post for today. I’m also a guest blogger this week for Coffee and a Card with Deb and Celeste. You can find that post here.
Thanks for checking out this week’s Anything Goes heARTful stamping challenge. There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing. I bought some extra burlap ribbon for my fall wreath making class and I think you will love it!
This Week’s Inspiration
How early do you start your Christmas cards? I normally don’t start too early (I consider Oct early!) but because I am prepping for a workshop, I’ve been trying out ideas to come up with the final 5. I just love the look of layer pieces overlapping stamped images and I finally gave it a try. I have finally lost my fear of my Cricut machines so I am finally getting use out of my CTMH Cricut bundles. woohoo!! I was tickled how beautifully this Gold Foiled paper from CTMH cut. It comes in Silver too!
CTMH supplies: Joyful Tidings Workshop Your Way kit, Beary Christmas paper pack, Gold Foil paper, Sweet Leaf and raft cardstock, You are Here and Flower Market Cricut bundles, Gold Embossing powder
CTMH has been super generous this month! They are in the midst of their Share A Smile campaign featuring this Punny Pals stamp set. $7 from the sale of each set is donated to Operation Smile and this month, CTMH is matching all proceeds. On top of that, CTMH created a special stamp set called Stronger Together – ALL proceeds from the sale of that stamp set are being donated to the Red Cross. It’s a great month to pick up some fabulous sets – I call that a win-win! I had so much fun watercoloring these little guys, aren’t they sweet?

I was super excited when my online friend Debra asked me to be a guest blogger on her once a month event called, Coffee and a Card with Debra and Celeste on her blog, Meticulosity. I’m not sure how Debra and I first met – it may have been over on the Coffee Lover’s facebook group since we both share a LOVE for coffee. On the other hand, it may have been when I was with amuse|studio and they had their Stamp Out Breast Cancer campaign. Debra is a survivor of Thyroid cancer and is amazingly generous! This month she is featuring CTMH Stronger Together stamp set which they have released as a way to raise funds for the Red Cross.
As guest blogger I was allowed to pick a “theme” and I found this lovely mood board. Celeste said she has a hard time with color challenges but remember you can also go with the mood or elements in the photo. That’s what I love about these types of inspiration pieces! And, oh by the way, Celeste created a beautiful card using these colors so she really was unnecessarily tough on herself but I find we are our worst critics! She is blogging over at Crafting Junky so be sure to check out her post as well.
Even though I typically don’t go bonkers for Christmas too early, I am in the midst of planning my Christmas card workshop for Nov 6 and 7 so that has given me some tunnel vision! I went with the 3 focal colors of the mailboxes as my inspiration but I also feel like I brought in the texture of the gray wall with my panel on the bottom of the card. My “green” is not quite the exact shade but I hope you don’t mind!
I am, I find, a CAS cardmaker but I really love being able to add some tiny details that make a card extra special. The tiny stars are from CTMH‘s The Thought That Counts – a fun and sassy tag set. The sentiment and ornaments are from CTMH’s Silver and Gold cardmaking stamp set. Inks and paper are also from Close To My Heart.
I love a good cup of coffee (and some treats! It’s Ginger Snap season again – yay!!) while I craft. How about you? I’ve been enjoying some Almond Milk creamer these days, so yummy! I love this coffee mug – it’s beautiful and is part of a set of four: one orange, one yellow, one blue and this green one. Happiness is a pretty cup of GOOD coffee! Speaking of good coffee, I may be in the market for a new coffee maker soon. Mine has been acting up!
Thanks again Deb and Celeste for inviting me to join your fun tradition of a Card and Coffee! I’m honored and it’s been a lot of fun!
