CTMH Tea-rrific Stamp of the Month

Close to my Heart

I didn’t realize it but yesterday was National Tea for Two Day!  And, in case you haven’t heard, the Spring Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop kicks off this Friday!  I’m back as a Super Sponsor and I’ll have a special blog prize here and one more in my Stamped Blessing VIP Group on Facebook!  If you are not a demo and haven’t joined yet – I hope you do!

This card is super fast and easy to create.  The only waiting time is for you watercolor paper to dry!  I like to just lay my work under a big stack of books overnight but I know you can use washi/painters tape to first lay it down and then let it dry that way or, hit it with a heat gun.  Just depends how fast you have to get it in the mail or your level of patience, tee hee…

What rubber stamping supplies do I need for this card?

I did use some ink sprays I have left over from my a|s demo days but you could easily ink up an acrylic block with CTMH inks and then spritz the block once or twice to get things moving.  Then firmly press down on your watercolor paper and keep pressing for a moment or two.  The longer you let it go, the more color seems to seep in.  I find, since the block is clear!, if you have a bare spot you can always touch it up by adding a little more color to that spot on your block and reapplying.  It’s so easy and I love the card here with these same technique.

Tea-rrific | S1703 | $17.95 or spend $50.00 and it’s just $5!

Time is running out for CTMH’s Stamp of the Month and their thin cuts dies sale…the latter is while supplies last and I’ve noticed a few items disappearing!

I was talking to my friend Kathy yesterday, and we were asking ourselves…”what’s your style of cardmaking?”.  Eeckk!!  I don’t think I really have one go-to style although I am drawn to CAS and many layers terrify me.  Luckily, Close To My Heart has taken a lot of the drama out of mixing and matching papers!  Phew!  All of these papers come from one of their packs – Dreamin’ Big (the hardest thing you will find is choosing a favorite side!).

It was super fun to paperpiece my little birdie from CTMH’s Some Kinda Wonderful stamp/thincut die bundle.  By the way ALL CTMH thincut dies AND stamp/die bundles are on sale until the end of the month!  Participating in challenges also helps direct my card style.  For instance, for this card I used the sketch layout from Fusion Card Challenge (plus I’d say I pulled in the grey from their photo as well!) and “Off the Edge” theme from CAS-ual Fridays… see how my cloud goes off the edge?

What rubber stamping supplies did I use to make this card?

Okay, enough about my card!  (Have I sucked all of  the oxygen out of the room?!?) and on to the winners of last week’s heARTful challenge…it was a green theme!  There were some adorable cards – these 3 really caught my eye though and one of them really made me giggle!

Congratulations to the winners and please grab your blog badge if you don’t already have it!  I hope everyone will be back for this week’s Spring heARTful stamping challenge.  Cyndi used this same little birdie from Some Kinda Wonderful as I did today and she colored him (or her?) in blue – it’s adorable and you should check it out if you missed it!

Thank you to Aron from StampKeeper for letting me try out his product link.

heARTful stamping challenge – Spring!

This week’s theme and monthly prize

Spring  + a stamp

Mar 19 – Mar 26

This week’s heARTful stamping Challenge is to create something with Spring in mind.  Can you believe Monday is officially spring?  This past week we basically had our first snow of the winter so it’s odd that spring is around the corner.

You can find last week’s challenge here – open through Sunday, midnight.

Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  I was able to pick up an extra February CTMH’s Stamp of the Month which I think is perfect for Easter – it’s called Easter Bunny

This Week’s Inspiration

Cyndi did an amazing job with her spring card – this just makes me happy inside!  I love how she used some of the stamps from this month’s Easter Bunny prize – now that you can no longer buy this CTMH Stamp of the Month set, you will really want to win it here!  tee hee.  Cyndi also used the cute little bird from CTMH’s Some Kinda Wonderful set.  Doesn’t this card make you smile?!?

supplies: Easter Bunny Feb STOM set, Some Kinda Wonderful stamp set

I have been using my CTMH watercolor paints a lot lately – I’ve shared some creations like this elegant Hello Lovely card here and this sweet card here featuring this month’s prize stamp set, Easter Bunny.  This card is a totally different look because I embossed the flower stamp from CTMH’s Stamp of the Month Tea-rrific and then watercolored over it.  The emboss resist technique is one I go to often!  The sentiment is from CTMH’s stamp set called Dreamin’ Big.  I also have used it in my next card below!  I finished the flower centers off with a dab of Liquid Glass.  Almost a one layer card and definitely a CAS design.

Here is one of the cards we made at my Hostess Club get-together this week.  It features the Dreamin’ Big paper pack from CTMH and their Dreamin’ Big stamp and thin cuts die bundle.  Which…is on SALE for 25% off this month!!  ALL CTMH thin cut dies are on sale this month – so it’s a great time to get those word thin cut dies or stamp/die bundles you’ve been eyeing!!  I love how many cards I can get out of a CTMH paper packet or cardmaking kit…these 12 x 12 sheets go a long way.  My only complaint is that I typically love both sides of the paper and have a hard time choosing which pattern to show.  I guess that’s a good problem!  tee he…

CTMH Sweet Birthday stamp/die bundle – FREE!

I am a little late in pointing this out on March 18 – but did you know that if you join my CTMH team during March, you will get this Sweet Birthday stamp and thin cut die bundle for FREE with your starter kit?

It’s true!

I have been loving my 4 months with CTMH and can’t believe how easy it was to join them and have my hobby/business up and running.  I keep pinching myself that I earned their Straight to the Top incentives early and I’m looking forward to my first official stamping event EVER next weekend.  Want to join me?!?

I’m here to answer any questions and would love to have you join my growing team!

CTMH Tea-rrific Stamp of the Month

Close To My Heart

I’ve been playing with CTMH’s Stamp of the Month called Tea-rrific as I am getting ready for the Spring Coffee Lover’s Blog hop coming next week.  It’s been so fun but I’m anxious to share some of this great stamp set RIGHT NOW with you!  Luckily last night I had some time after work – and two card challenges – made this card come together so quickly.  I totally love it and hope you do too!

I love the 3 different tea cup options in this Tea-rrific stamp set and it has some wonderful sentiments, as well as this single flower…

What rubber stamping supplies do I need for this card?

I added some texture with one of my CTMH Cricut Flower Market bundle stamps to the teacup before adding just a little ink on the sides of the cup.  In fact, the sentiment comes from one of the 3 sets as well.  It’s an unbelievable value to get a paper pack, Cricut cartridge (or digital download which I do – so it’s even cheaper!) and 3 Size D stamp sets.  What’s even more amazing is that this package qualifies as a Hostess 1/2 price item – so what are you waiting for?!  Contact me to throw your own CTMH party!

I watercolored the flowers quickly and easily with my Close to My Heart watercolor pencils – love how they match their papers and inks.
